Each year since the 1970's, Minneapolis hockey has had an Awards Night to conclude the season for our Storm teams.  Over the years, we have been kicked out of more than one Catholic Church basement and have used gymnasiums and high school cafeterias to honor key attributes that we like all Storm players to possess. This year, Parade Ice Gardens was home to our awards in conjunction with the NHL Alumni Game.

The trophies in themselves are a 'history of Minneapolis Youth Hockey' almanac. Amazing that none have been lost over the last 30-40 years and each one has all of the winners engraved on it....NHLer Matt Smaby, Peewee A Coach Connor Clark, Division I Committed Player Conor Andrle, High School State Champions Jack Jablonski, Zach Hale, Anders Jecha, Henry Johnson, Ben Gleekel, Andrle, and more!

Each year, we go to our coaches and ask them to nominate kids that "stood out" when it comes to the key qualities that Storm culture embodies: Commitment, Determination, Sportsmanship, and Leadership.

These awards are not MVP awards and coaches tell us..."Wow, I could nominate my whole team, these kids were great!" Again, we ask them for the kids that stood out this season for one reason or another. Following are the nominations and the award winners for the 2013-14 Storm season:
