Financial assistance for player fees is available on the basis of demonstrated need. Minneapolis Hockey gathers financial information so that household need can be measured fairly and equitably. Information collected is used by Minneapolis Hockey in accordance with its established financial aid guidelines to determine the award amount. Financial award information will be e-mailed to the applicant.
Application Information
Applications for financial assistance may be requested by emailing the MHA President (tmurray@mplshockey.com). MHA typically requests the applicant's most recent federal tax forms and the most recent paystubs for each of the applicant's sources of income to assess financial need.
Families may either register for the season first or apply for aid first and wait until determination of any award. If the family registers first and is later granted financial aid, an appropriate refund will be issued. If the family receives a financial aid award before registering, a discount code will be given to the family to use when registering.

MHA is entirely run by volunteers. We are always looking for parents to help out. Each returning player in Mites or higher carries a certain number of volunteer hours, but it takes an army to put a good program together for our young athletes, and that includes our essential Team Managers, Locker Room monitors, people to run the clock or game sheet at games and MHA tournaments, as well as other key roles on the Association Board of Directors.
For more information, see our Volunteer Opportunities page.
Minneapolis Hockey is looking for coaches to help out at all levels.
Even if you haven't coached before, if you are a good skater, and if you enjoy working with children to help them achieve their personal goals, you would make a great coach! Especially at the younger ages, there are always opportunities to help out.
