Financial Aid - TADS

Financial assistance for player fees is available on the basis of demonstrated need. If you believe that your resources are not sufficient to meet the total costs of Minneapolis Hockey, you are encouraged to apply.

TADS provides a framework through which household need can be measured fairly and equitably. Recommendations from TADS are used by the Minneapolis Hockey award committee in accordance with its policies to determine the award amount. Final award notices will be e-mailed by the committee.

Applications for financial assistance may be completed online at //www.mytads.com/ (see links below). The $34 processing fee is made payable to TADS. Failure to pay the processing fee may delay the evaluation.  The processing fee will be reimbursed for those who qualify for assistance.

Families may either register for the season first, or apply for aid first and wait until notification from the award committee.

APPLICATION AVAILABLE: August 10th
APPLICATION DEADLINE:  Deadlines coincide with the Minneapolis Hockey registration deadlines.  Refer to the registration link.

Play Hockey!

The Minneapolis Hockey Association is the premier USA Hockey-sanctioned Girls and Youth Hockey Program in Minneapolis (South of 94/394).  Our primary goal is to create lasting experiences developing life skills and a love of sport.  There's no better place to learn to play hockey than right here in the middle of the great State of Hockey.

Become a Coach

Minneapolis Hockey is looking for coaches to help out at all levels.

Even if you haven't coached before, if you are a good skater, and if you enjoy working with children to help them achieve their personal goals, you would make a great coach!  Especially at the younger ages, there are always opportunities to help out on your child's team.

Visit the Coach Resources page for more info!

Parent Volunteers

MHA is entirely run by volunteers.  We are always looking for parents to help out.  Each returning player in Mites or higher carries a certain number of volunteer hours, but it takes an army to put a good program together for our young athletes, and that includes Locker Room monitors, people to run the clock or game sheet at games and tournaments, as well as other key roles on the Association Board of Directors.

For more information, see our Volunteer Opportunities page.
