Mite Preseason Clinics start this Saturday, October 3rd, at Parade Ice Gardens, times and rink are in the MHA calendar tagged under the respective Mite level tags.

Which session should my player attend?
If you are a Mite aged player that is brand new to hockey, you should attend the Rookie Camp sessions.
If you are in 1st grade or are born between 6/1/2013 - 5/31/2014, then you should attend the Mite 1 session.
If you were a Mite 1 last year or are in 2nd grade or are born between 6/1/2012 - 5/31/2013, then you should attend the Mite 2 session.
If you were a Mite 2 or 3 last year or are in 3rd grade or are born between 6/1/2011 - 5/31/2012, then you should attend the Mite 3 session.
What is Rookie Camp?
Rookie camp is intended give players age 6-8 yo that are new to skating or organized hockey a chance to learn skating and hockey basics in a slower moving environment with dedicated coaching focused on their skill set. Rookie Camp sessions will be a smaller group and coaches at this session will focus on a more basic skill set than at the Mite 1, 2 or 3 sessions. If your player is registered for Mites (Mighty Mite/6U not permitted) and this is your first year of organized hockey, please attend the Rookie Camp session. Players who qualify for Rookie Camp sessions may also attend the Mite level session that fits their age/grade noted above. Please reach out to cmueller@mplshockey.com for questions about Rookie Camp sessions.
What do I need to do when I arrive?
At this time, the Minneapolis Park Board will not allow parents to remain in the arena after their player has made it to the ice. They must leave the building and will be allowed to return at the end of the clinic session to help their player remove skates, helmet and gloves and exit the arena. If a parent is needed during the clinic session a coach will come and retrieve them during the session.
MHA is working with Parade Ice Garden and the Park Board to create an exception to this policy for Mite and 8U players, but until that is achieved, parents will not be allowed to remain in the arena at Parade during the clinic session.
