Opening Weekend

Mighty Mite/6U players will open play on Saturday, November 7th at Minnehaha Ice Arena.  Specific ice times will be added to the MHA calendar soon.  Team assignments will be communicated on or about November 1st.

Jerseys and hockey socks will be distributed when you arrive at the arena. For a full list of required equipment for your first day scroll to the bottom of the Mighty Mite/6U page.

Players, parents/guardians and coaches will be required to follow the COVID Return to Play guidelines  found on the association's COVID page. Please take a moment to review this page in detail. Revisit this page for any updates prior to our first ice time. In summary, plan on the following:

• Arrive fully dressed (except skates, helmet and gloves) no more than 10 mins prior to your ice time
• One parent/guardian may enter the arena to help the player get dressed and on the ice
• Confirm/provide name, phone number and email to check in attendant at each ice time
• Player and parent/guardian must wear a mask and properly social distance when on the arena grounds
• Player must bring their own pre-filled water bottle. Water facilities will not be available at the arena.
• Players should leave the arena after removing skates, helmet and gloves and wait to fully undress until out of the arena or at home.

Preseason Clinics

Mighty Mites/6U Players DO NOT participate in the Preseason Clinics in October.  DO NOT attend Rookie Camp ice times.  The "Rookie Camp" is for registered Mite players ages 6-8 yo that are brand new to hockey, but intend to play Mites and not Mighty Mite/6U. Any Mighty Mite/6U player who shows up will be turned away.
